Lalla Tea is a personal exploration born out of my passion for culture, storytelling, and the deeper meanings behind human traditions and, of course, my love for Moroccan tea.
created the brand identity and packaging entirely from my own initiative, without a client brief. I wanted to explore how a familiar cultural ritual could be translated into a distinctive visual identity.
Inspired by Moroccan heritage and the traditional tea ritual, Lalla Tea takes a feminine approach to a category that is not traditionally presented this way. In Moroccan homes, women have historically played a central role in preparing and serving tea, making femininity a natural part of the story behind the brand.
The name “Lalla” was chosen for its cultural meaning. In Morocco and across North Africa, Lalla is an honorific traditionally used to address a respected woman. Through illustration, packaging, and visual storytelling, I wanted to transform a familiar Moroccan tradition into something contemporary, artistic, and deeply rooted in its cultural origins.
A personal project, born from curiosity, culture, and a love for the stories hidden within everyday rituals.
